This document constitutes an indivisible public agreement between you (hereinafter the "User") and the creator of the praet.net project (hereinafter the "Operator"). It defines the terms of service and the core principles of technical data processing.
We adhere to the doctrine of absolute data minimization: we do not store what does not belong to us, and we do not ask for what is not required for an accurate technical diagnosis.
1. Subject & Acceptance of Terms
The praet.net service is provided to the User as a web application for passive and active auditing of network connection parameters.
The act of clicking the "Run Test" button (or any equivalent action) constitutes the User's unconditional acceptance of these Terms and represents a legally binding, explicit request for a one-time diagnostic service.
2. Data Processing Physics (Zero-Logs)
Most privacy policies describe how data is collected. This policy describes how data is **destroyed**.
- Volatile RAM Processing: All calculations, header parsing, TCP encapsulation analysis, and geolocation lookups are performed exclusively within the volatile Random Access Memory (RAM) of the process handling the User's current session.
- Stateless Architecture: The backend of the service is not connected to any persistent database systems (such as SQL servers or document stores) capable of retaining user sessions across requests.
- Instant Erasure: The generated diagnostic report exists in the server's memory for the exact number of milliseconds required to package it into an HTTP response. The moment the packet is dispatched to the browser's socket, the allocated RAM is overwritten. The server maintains no access logs linking IP addresses to timestamps.
3. Exhaustive List of Inspected Metrics
To provide the diagnostic service, the application automatically reads and correlates the following terminal parameters voluntarily broadcasted by the User's device:
- Network Layer: Public IP address, Autonomous System Number (ASN), and upstream DNS resolvers.
- Location Layer: Country, city, and approximate coordinates derived strictly from matching the IP address against the local GeoLite database.
- Hardware Layer: Logical CPU core count, declared RAM class, unmasked GPU renderer, viewport resolution, and Device Pixel Ratio (DPR).
- Software Layer: OS system clock and timezone, operating system family, exact browser build, and preferred language headers.
- Transport Layer: Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) and Maximum Segment Size (MSS) packet boundaries, as well as ICMP/WebSocket transit latency (Ping).
4. Prohibition of Sale and Transfer
The Operator explicitly declares full compliance with the principle of "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information":
None of the metrics listed in Section 3 are ever transmitted to advertising networks, data brokers, tracking platforms, or government agencies. In the event of an official subpoena or warrant requesting user activity records, the Operator will be physically unable to comply due to the fundamental non-existence of the requested data on any physical storage media.
5. Licenses and Third-Party Software (MaxMind)
To determine the geographical provenance of IP addresses autonomously, the service utilizes a local copy of the GeoLite2 database hosted entirely on the Operator's infrastructure without external network calls.
Mandatory Legal Attribution:
This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
The service is provided strictly on an "As Is" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied:
- Probabilistic Nature: Any conclusions generated by the service regarding "tunnel presence," "leaks," or "anomalies" are the result of mathematical heuristics and cannot serve as definitive technical or legal proof.
- User Responsibility: The Operator bears no liability if the User, relying on a "green verdict" from the service, engages in activities that lead to system compromise, de-anonymization, or legal prosecution in their jurisdiction.
- Availability: The Operator reserves the right to suspend the service, alter diagnostic algorithms, or deprecate any API endpoint at any time without prior notice.
7. Data Subject Rights (The Execution Paradox)
Global data protection laws grant you the right to access, rectify, export, and delete your personal data.
The praet.net paradox: Because fulfilling a "right to deletion" request would require us to first store your data and attach an identifier to it, we strictly refuse to build user tracking systems. Your right to total erasure is executed automatically and unconditionally the precise second you close this browser tab.
